You Will Never Thought That Owning A The Traditional Steam Sauna Could Be So Beneficial!

The traditional steam sauna is still the best known. The popularization of the concept and the need to simplify installation and use have however led to the development of other systems such as the electric sauna stove or the infrared sauna. In all cases, the concept is the same, only the energy and heat source differs.

This type of sauna is classified as a wet sauna. The steam released with the heat source produces an ambient humidity in the sauna. This humidity varies between 10 and 25% depending on the heat. The heat is generated by volcanic stones heated with wood on a stove. The steam will be obtained by pouring water regularly on the heated stones. The temperature of a steam sauna varies between 40 and 90°. The feeling of warmth is generally more intense in wet saunas. An average temperature of 65° is sufficient to cause intense sweating.

Some people find it difficult to tolerate heat above 90°C in the humid environment of a best infrared sauna. This type of sauna is best suited for children and the elderly when used at temperatures around 45°C.

The installation of a traditional steam sauna is simple. It does not require an electricity source. However, the use of wood to heat the stones produces smoke. This smoke is not beneficial to your health and must be disposed of. The use of fire also increases the risk of fire.

 The electric sauna heater

Like the best portable infrared sauna, the electric sauna is also a wet sauna. It is based on the same principle as its predecessor with the difference that the volcanic stones are heated with an electric stove. All you have to do is plug the stove into an outlet and the stones will heat up. The user will then have the choice to pour water into the sauna to produce steam. The heat of an electric sauna heater also varies according to the humidity. If the humidity is lower, the sauna can be heated up to 90°C. As the humidity increases, the heat must be reduced.

The easy installation and simple handling of the electric sauna make it the most common type of sauna today. Its attractive price makes it accessible to all budgets.

However, you may regret the sometimes high electricity consumption of this type of sauna. If you use your electric sauna heater regularly, you should expect a significant increase in your electricity bill at the end of each month.

The infrared sauna

Born in Japan, the cheap sauna is a recent concept. It differs from the first two types of saunas by the absence of stones as a heat source. It is a dry type of sauna since no humidity is present. The heat will be obtained by infrared rays placed at strategic locations. No ultraviolet light is produced to avoid any risk to the skin. With this type of sauna, the temperature can rise up to 110°C and the sweating is 3 to 6 times more important than with steam saunas.
